This is a 5 day long residency project offering 20+ artists, performers, theoreticians, and activists the opportunity to create new work. This gathering is a chance to explore how art can literally change the world and how we see her. Led by Annie Sprinkle, Elizabeth Stephens and Dr Luke Dixon, this will be a rare chance to make work in comfortable, inspiring and well resourced surroundings.
The workshops will develop ART MAKING across a range of medium and experience.
The week will begin with a sharing of experience and interests on Sunday evening, an opportunity to walk in and explore the extensive grounds and view the facilities. There will be an optional nude swim in the hotel’s pool Sunday evening. The rest of the week days swimmers must wear their swimsuits.
Monday through Thursday will include a series of led workshops as well as mentored personal projects.
Accommodation is available in the apartment section of the workshop venue, Prested Hall, from midday Sunday July 14th through the morning Friday 18th in one of 10 flats. Each apartment flat has its own kitchen and en-suite bathroom. The workshop with accommodations option should be booked early as space is limited. There will be communal cooking and eating as part of the creative process. Book your residential accommodations (July 14-July 18th) with workshop at Prested Hall. More info for the final night’s lodging coming. Get your tickets soon!
All work created can be publicly presented at the end of the week at the 1st INTERNATIONAL ECOSEX SYMPOSIUM (Colchester Arts Centre).
Workshop registration includes admission to all related events. THE WORKSHOPS AND ACCOMMODATIONS ARE NOW FULL AND REGISTRATION IS CLOSED
